About me

I grew up in Eastern Canada. From a young age, I dreamed of exploring wild places in search of insect species. To achieve my childhood aspirations, I  first obtained a diploma in adventure guiding (Thompson Rivers University). I then went on to complete a B.Sc. (Laval University) and M. Sc. (Concordia University) in biology, with a special focus on ants. I then spent two years at the University of Hong Kong researching the ant biodiversity of Macau SAR, China. Now, I am doing a PhD at Charles Darwin University, in which I am studying the effects of fire and rainfall on the ants of Northern Australia.

Sometime during those experiences, I picked up a camera to record the fascinating creatures I encountered. Through photography, I aim to showcase how strangely beautiful the critters that inhabit our world are. In doing so, I hope to promote their importance and conservation.
